Convention August 3-5, 2014 at Perdido Beach Resort, Orange Beach, Alabama. This year our host state is Louisiana, and the theme will reflect our industry's up turn and growth with "Building Our Future Together".
An exciting and beneficial convention has been planned which includes networking receptions, banquet, educational speakers, state specific continuing education, entertainment, volleyball, golf, fishing, cooking demos, an event for children and all the fun on the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast beach. It will be a great opportunity for seeing and visiting with industry friends from the FOUR participating states. This Multi- State Convention offers the opportunity for one
company expense to reach all the members of FOUR state associations. What a great DEAL!!!!

A Few Facts to Remember
- To make hotel reservations, please call the Perdido Beach Resort at 800-634-8001 and refer to AL-LA-MS-TN Manufactured Housing Association Joint Conference - Booking ID #10632 to receive group rates. Cutoff date for the Multi-State Convention block is Sunday, July 6, 2014. Standard room rate: $170.00.
Official dates of convention are August 3-5, 2014. Please confirm your check out date when making your Reservations. Convention officially ends Tuesday night @ 10:00 p.m., August 5th. Most attendees will checkout on Wednesday, August 6th.
Convention sponsorship does not include registration fees or separate activity fees.
If you are planning to extend your vacation before or after the convention block dates, please notify the Hotel in advance to insure the rooms are available.
All Multi-State Convention registration cancellations must be made by June 27, 2014 in order to receive a full refund. Registration after June 27th will assess late charges. Cut off for late registration is July 18, 2014.
Everyone attending convention must register by July 18, 2014.
- Sponsorships must be received by April 25, 2014.
Name Badges: Name badges must be worn to all events. Failure to wear a name badge will prevent anyone from being allowed to enter any convention event.

Manufactured Homeowner Satisfaction in Alabama
A study conducted by Southeast Research, Inc., Montgomery, Alabama
The principle of this study was to conduct an image assessment of manufactured housing among owners of manufactured homes and to assess the level of customer satisfaction among manufactured homeowners in Alabama.
The study is based on 400 heads-of-households who have purchased a manufactured home in Alabama within the past three years.
The study concluded the following:
*Eight out of ten manufactured homeowners in
Alabama are satisfied with their home
*84% of manufactured homeowners have a high degree of pride with ownership of their homes.
*99% of manufactured homeowners use the home as their primary residence.
*92% of manufactured homeowners in Alabama described their home as a safe place to live.
*Seven out of ten manufactured homeowners in Alabama described their home as a good value for their investment.
*92% of manufactured homeowners in Alabama described their home as being attractive.
Another conclusion drawn from this survey was that two-thirds of homeowners contacted for this survey owned a home prior to purchasing their manufactured home. Also, one-third of the purchasers of manufactured homes in Alabama were paying rent prior to making their recent housing choice.
The overall conclusion drawn from this study is that customers purchasing manufactured homes are satisfied with the home they purchased. They also have a great deal of pride with respect to the purchase of their home.

Moving A Manufactured Home?
Alabama State Law requires your mobile or manufactured home be moved and installed by a licensed, trained installer. This is for your safety, in order to ensure the correct installation.
The Alabama Manufactured Housing Commission trains and licenses certified installers. To see if your installer is licensed or for a list of installers, you can contact the AMHC at (334) 242-4036, or go to their website at www.amhc.state.al.us.
